The Venom Symbiote bonded with Spider-Man during his adventure on Battleworld. Initially he thought the symbiote was just a costume, however upon his discovery that it was sentient, he rejected it. Since then, the Venom symbiote has bonded with several different hosts.

Who was the best Venom?

Eddie Brock was the first person to be Venom. Next, it was Angelo Fortunato, the son of mob boss Don Fortunato. Finally, it was Mac Gargan, a.k.a. The Scorpion. There was also three female Venoms: Anne Weying, Patricia Robertson, and Ms. Marvel. My question is: Who was the best Venom?

In this case, I think the first was the best. Although, Mac Gargan did pretty good too.

Come on, is this really up for debate?
 
1. Eddie defined the character, so right off the bat he wins nostlgia points. Anyone else who dawned the costume will just remind us of how awesome Eddie was, especially if they're lame like Gargan. 
 
2. Even though Eddie character was written poorly (I mean the guy was dumb as a post), he was still a likable dude. Gargan was a big pussy, Angelo samething.
 
I will say that I liked how Gargan was just plain evil.  I did get tired of Eddie's "WE HAVE TO SAVE U FROM THE EVIL SPIDER MAN" shtick. By the end I almost wanted him to die.

Eddie Brock, of course.  Aside from Mac, the other so called, hosts, probably shouldn't even be listed, because they hardly carried the symbiote long enough to even be called Venom.

Eddie has so much past with the symbiote plus he had the longest & best run with it so hes my number 1 but Gargan is second just he was written poorly most of the time .

Even though I think Mac Gargan was really good as Venom, I personally perferd him as the Scorpion and Eddie as Venom.

Eddie Brock dammit! The first and the best... Flash, however, shows true promise. Still, Brock will always be the definitive Venom in my mind.

Eddie, no contest. He's THE symbiote. He uses the symbiote PERFECTLY and is the only one to do so. He says "we" like he should. He looks awesome and he is POISON TO PETER PARKER AND SPIDER-MAN. Eddie IS Venom. Flash is an upstart, will likely be gone soon, and leave everyone mourning for the hole Eddie left that could never be filled.
