Let me guess: The story arc is called 'Red and Black' and it is totally devoted to using up extra toner cartridges. xP

Somehow I don't think Rulk fits here. Could be wrong. Looks cool though!

Looks pretty cool. Is this like a throwback to Wolverine's Fantastic Four? I like the possible dynamic between the members.

I've been waiting to hear about this team up since i first saw that little preview picture of Rulk, Venom, X23, and female Ghost Rider in the back pages of the Ghost Rider 0.1 a few months ago.... if someone could find and post that picture, much appreciated??

Im excited to see this Venom collide with the rest of the marvel universe... Venom is an amazing series alone, and Remender throwing him into the Secret Avengers is amazing, and now this!? Im pumped.

I'm going to have to decide between my love of X-23 and my absolute abhorrence of Red Hulk.

@DawnToDarkness: Remender said they'd keep the big bad of the book quiet for now, but he did reveal where the story starts as he writes #13. "The character is trying to bring something from another dimension to earth...and the villain is succeeding in doing this," the writer said, noting the action takes place in a Las Vegas casino. Captain America sends the Red Hulk out to investigate on behalf of the Avengers, and soon Hulk and Venom clash along with the other two characters unknowing of what awaits them in Sin City. "The events that take place in Las Vegas won't be completely resolved after this, and there will be an interesting new tone for the next few years in that dirty city."

Wait, 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, AND 13.4? O_o Whatever happened to just saying 13, 14, 15, and 16...?

I am a fan of teams being formed between completely unrelated characters and I wouldn't mind if this event went trough Ghost Rider, Hulk and X-23 but WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY does this go trough a bunch of point issues ? Really calling these issue 14, 15 and 16 would make more sense, or again going trough all the teams characters own titles. Really Marvel, each time you have an idea that I like you find a way to screw it up and leave a bad taste in my mouth.

It's an event that takes place between issue 13 and 14 so that way they don't throw off their numbering I guess

O_O I chose x-23 lol So I'm stuck getting another book with her in it, that makes 3 XD

It's new, they are all characters who are 'finding" themselves, so marvel decided to have them all team up because that interaction with help change each character in some way. Also because they are legacy characters the writers have much more freedom with how they do things in this event

He fits in the sense that he is similar to his teammates, they are all in the processes of re-evaluating who they are, this is more about character development than how the characters mesh as a team

How is making an "event" made up of point one issues not going to throw off the numbering? If they didn't want to mess up Venom's number why not just make it a separate mini-series instead?

No a mini would be more practical, its not a big enough event to be setup as a separate book since 2012 will have like 30 event books

They didn't want the event to be scattered through the characters main books, and it will most likely focus the most on venom so the .1s make me think that it's more of a sideplot that diverts from the main venom story since Flash is pretty broken up by this point and by issue 14 he will be on the right course to where he needs to be by his "last" mission is issue 20 something

I think the event is going to affect the other characters but it's going to be used as a cheat to propel Venom forward development wise without affecting his numbering(they can spend more time on him without wasting issues) which his issue numbers i believe represent his number of missions. Besides the whole event is suppose to take place during venom.

marvel is also using .1s a lot now, it's their new gimmick

But it still is wasting issues because like here on Comic Vine, if it's "Venom 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, ect" then those will be added right after issue 13 in his series, meaning anyone who wants to pic up the issues of "Venom" are going to confused because they randomly have these point one issues. Not to mention that just because he "only" has 20 missions doesn't mean they ALL have to happen in 20 issues.

Gimmick or not, I still don't see why it should be point one issues, if it's about Venom then it should be issues 13, 14, 15, 16, ect. But it's also about those other characters (which if it weren't then why are they there?) it would have been easier and less confusing to just make it a mini-series or have it cross over into the other titles as currently Red Hulk and X-23 have their own books, though I'm not sure about Ghost Rider.
