The Venom Symbiote bonded with Spider-Man during his adventure on Battleworld. Initially he thought the symbiote was just a costume, however upon his discovery that it was sentient, he rejected it. Since then, the Venom symbiote has bonded with several different hosts.

Is Venom worth getting into?

I've got room for one more title in my pull list and I was wondering if the "Venom" series is really worth it.

I've liked the whole idea of Venom since he came out long long ago but now that it is being controlled by Flash for more heroic purposes it is interesting me even more.

So my question is: How long do you guys think that Flash will be the host to the symbiote. Even though I understand the possibility of it changing hosts in the future I would hope that Marvel would keep this relationship around for some time as it seems to generate good stories from the little that I have heard.

I find Venom to be an incredible series, Flash Thompson's really likable, and I enjoy having an anti hero Venom.

The government has told Flash that he can only be Venom for 20 missions. So who knows how long Flash will be Venom? I, for one, hope it's a long time.

I myself was wondering this, as I'm considering picking the series up when I go to my LCS. I've heard good things about it, but wanted to get opinions from readers before I got it.

As long as possible please. For me it's 2nd on my Marvel Pull list next to Uncanny X-force, remender is showing godlyness in his stories, so I hope he keeps this kind of pace with venom for a while.

DO IT! It took me until issue #3 to give it a shot as I was kinda turned off by the new approach they took.... it just looked so cheesy I thought. I was very wrong, Flash is a much more engaging Venom than Gargan was, the stories are really fun so far and the whole of it has been wonderfully executed.

I have read a couple of issues from the series and I think it is pretty good and the series is pretty popular. I think you should try the first couple of issues and see if you like the series.

It was good up until #7 and #8. I dropped it after #8.

I like it but wasn't a big fan of the spider island tie-ins. I am however excited for whats to come after spider island stuff.

It's because he picked it up waaay later on (I think he said he got 12) instead of the first few issues which get you to like the cast and get invested.

He hasn't touched it. I just told him to check out Uncanny at the time.

Yeah. It's sad.

Too much continuity and crap in the X-Men for me to bother trying to get into. The extent of my interest in the X-Men are stories they just happen to be in that centers around other characters that aren't in the X-Men, and then their movies.

I suggest that the two of you get over it, because that isn't changing anytime soon.

If any of this is suggesting that Uncanny X-force of Venom are bad books than whoever thinks this is just wrong, Rick Remender is doing the best work at marvel right now.

im gonna be a bit different from most and say NO. yes, uncanny x-force is absolutely amazing and remender is killing it there.

but i dropped venom recently. its not that bad, but there are definitely better comics to put your money towards. like sweet tooth, ultimate spider-man, batman, etc.

The venom series is pretty damn good. I recommend it a lot and I doubt flash will lose the symbiote for a while since he is popular enough to have an his own "mini crossover event" in his own series and soon to be part of the secret avengers

Yes this book is super awesome, the artm the story, everything is good, the 1st harcover for this book is alredy out, n the SpiderIsland tie ins were fantastic espcially # 7, next week we get # 9

The Venom storyline is very good right now, and over all the books tell a great story with great art. It is absolutely worth getting into.
