    Hunted! 0

Cover: Frankly, I don't really care for the cover.  I can get behind the idea they are depicting and it's a pretty cool concept, but maybe the angles are what really bother me.  I know the symbiote is capable of doing all sorts of awesome things, but it still bothers me here. The Good: The art and the colors are mesmerizing.  The characterizations and the way that the fight was carried out was extremely well done, as was the few ending panels, giving you an obvious look at the direction of the ...

    One word: Intense. 0

I was impressed by the first issue of this. The writing was solid, the action was entertaining, and the overall story is stacking up to be great. This month, we get a bit of a digression(in the second issue?) in a fight with, of all people, Kraven The Hunter. Now, I loves me some Kraven, so I was all over this issue. The Venom/Kraven fight in the Savage Land is the meat of this issue, and it's awesome to watch. There's a little emotional oomph with the slowly deteriorating relationship between F...

    Venom - The Hunted 0

Being thrown into Flash's fourth mission with the Venom symbiote seemed kind of rushed.  It has already been 47 hours since he was airdropped into the Savage Lands and Kraven began hunting him.  Even though it made the issue feel short, it did successfully allow the reader to feel the same disorientation that Flash is going through.  However, I still would of liked a more fluid transition between issue 1 and 2.  There is no setup as to why Flash even needs to be in the Savage Lands, other than a...

The Hunter Stalks the Symbiote! 0

This issue picks up in mid-action as Flash is stalked by Kraven The Hunter. His original mission to destroy a mine is side-tracked as Kraven stalks him relentlessly, thinking that he's the real Spider-Man. Kraven wants to be killed at the hands of his most powerful prey, and as long as Flash AKA Venom sports a spider on his chest, he's a moving target. He'll have to use his combined military training and the symbiote if he hopes to evade Kraven and finish his mission.I was a little put off that ...

    RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE 0

OH MY GOD.  VENOM IS IN DINOSAUR LAND IN THIS ISSUE!?  And you thought DETROIT was a bad place to be!?  THINK AGAIN!!  Venom is fighting that crazy fool Kraven, and he ain't thinking twice about capping this guy!  He's got all these spears and stuff shanked in him, BUT THAT AIN'T STOPPING HIM!  VENOM'S A HOSS!  He doesn't need legs to kick your ASS!  I bet you're wondering how he beats Kraven.  You're just dying to know.  All I'm going to say is that it involves bats.  LOTS AND LOTS OF BATS.  AN...

    The Mad Hunter 0

Recommended! At first I thought the Kraven bit was a huge distraction. But I guess that is what you get when you enter the Savage Land looking for Antarctic Vibranium - sidetracked (Thor found himself in a similar situation in Thor: Deviants Saga #4).Anyway, though it seemed like it dragged on for a while, the interaction with Kraven made sense by the end of the issue. It would actually be the root cause for much of Flash's personal struggles in the series to come. Whether this was the true inten...
