    WE ARE VENOM!!!

This was a solid first issue that sets-up the new Venom title. Corporal Eugene 'Flash' Thompson and the symbiote are brought together by the Army in a effort to have some kind of new Supersoldier (yup, they never get tired of that).

The story is pretty straight-forward, Venom has to save some good Eastern European folk from an attack by the Jack O' Lantern. The villain is looking up a mad scientist in order to use his weapons. Flash has to make a quick decision and his superiors are not happy with what ensues.

The main function of this issue is to introduce the world and abilities of the new Venom so we know what we are dealing with. This is a new character, and he must balance his time with the alien or there will be catastrophic consequences for everyone, including himself.

The only thing I wasn't entirely on board with is Tony's art, it looks way too grungy, and this isn't The Walking Dead, but w ell, maybe it was the inker's call, I don't know. I recommend getting on board with this story.

Cover I usually hate white background covers but I think it really works well with the black of the venom. I have to say I liked this cover. Story Flash Thompson is on a mission as the Venom and he has to control his anger or else he will lose control of the Venom and when he loses control the government has a grenade that they can make explode. Flash comes home to see Betty and Betty accuses Flash of Drinking. Flash has a choice to go to an AA meeting but he wheels right past it. Best Part If...
