Even before joining the Green Lantern Corps, Venizz was a force for good in the galaxy.  Venizz was a well known and highly regarded political activist on her home planet. Her policies and principles attracted the attention of the Guardians of the Universe, who saw her as a valuable asset to the Corps.  Following her induction into the Corps, Venizz was horrified to learn of the lawless and unethical evolutionary experimentation of the Krolotean Gremlins.  The Gremlins are a scientifically advanced race with no compunctions about genetically manipulating the evolution of other species. The Gremlins use their advanced knowledge of genetics to accelerate a species evolution.  Their intention is to create “super warriors”; and sell theses “weapons” and their destructive potential to the highest bidder. They are responsible for accelerating the evolution of such monstrosities as Hector Hammond, the Shark, and Black Hand

Venizz uncovered and liberated a hidden concentration camp filled with prisoners experimented on by the Krolotean Gremlins. Among the many victims liberated from the camp, was Tagort, a being whose body and strength were overgrown by repeated experimentations.  Tagort would soon become a Green Lantern in his own right and the two were selected to be sector partners. Venizz and Tagort recently traveled sector 2814 where they took a group of Gremlins into custody from Hal Jordan. The two partners are committed to bringing to justice those Krolotean Gremlins who would commit such genetic atrocities.
