Vector was okay, good but not great. Do you guys think there'll be another Star Wars crossover soon?

That wouldn't work. I know that companies have inter-mixed before but DC and Dark Horse are a little random, and I don't think that either of the companies would be able to come up with a plot that actually was good and made sense. Both universes are totally different and wouldn't link together at all. If the two stories were to mix, then it would be a terrible story used purely as a money-making ploy. The story would have no value, no interest and be totally retarded. "Oh look here! There's a crazy space ship with Jedi in it! I'ma go get Superman's help."

Both series would probably actually get more hurt by this crossover than helped. Trust me, Lobo and Star Wars would suck and it would suck a lot. Transformers/Avengers was weird enough. Infact, that was probably the most out-there crossover that l've ever been exposed to. But even something as strange as Transformers/Avengers still makes more sense (and works better) than a Star Wars/Lobo crossover. Star Wars is just the kind of universe that will never be crossed with another universe. Lucas wouldn't be up for it. Linking anything with the Star Wars universe would kill the series and he knows that. On the other hand, l could see the Lobo series doing something more weird. Maybe not as wierd as a Star Wars crossover, but wierd.

Just because two things both involve space doesn't mean that they'll mix. You don't see the Green Lantern Corpse finding Riddick on some planet. You've never seen the USS Enterprise fight Galactus. Things like that don't work. Lobo and Star Wars wouldn't work at all.

Plus, even if it were to happen, what would the plot be? You've got this hardcore "I'ma kill you" kind of guy and a small jedi farmboy. What are they going to do? Meet in a galactic bar and start fighting each other? Like really. What would even happen? Can you even think of a good plot that mixes both themes?

What I meant when I asked this question wasn't whether or not you think that the Star Wars universe should cross with another universe. I was wondering if the Star Wars universe should/will ever have another internal crossover (Vector for example).

Right now there are like three to five ongoing Star Wars series. Dark Horse just put them through a big crossover event featuring all of the stories. It was a big event called Vector and it was really cool. The way it worked was like Messia Complex, in terms of one comic was a #1 and the next was a #2. The alternative would be like Secret Invasion where you have the main story and then a billion tie-ins.

The question that l was asking was whether you think that another big crossover will happen soon and if so, what do you expect to happen?

BTW, Lobo/Star Wars = Failure

The problem with finding another series to cross with Star Wars, is that Star Wars is so isolated. Lucas built a world and put strict rules on it to not be altered or manipulated. Everything in Star Wars universe stays in Star Wars universe and everything outside of Star Wars stays outside of Star Wars. That kind of mentality is what sepparates Star Wars from so much other stuff, and is partially why the series is so interesting. The problem though (as you and I have just found out) is that making it so self-contained doesn't give the Star Wars world as many oportunities.

I think that's why Dark Horse has decided to branch out into different eras. Knights of the Old Republic is probably the second most sucessful Star Wars comic series, and it takes place thousands of years before the first Star Wars movie. Technically it is the same universe, but the stories that are told are very sepparate and very different, yet show a simular character design. In a way, you can compare that to Marvel forming the Ultimate Universe. They wanted to tell more Marvel stories (or in this case, Star Wars stories),  but felt that there really wasn't enough "room" left.

Dark Horse has basically created a "second" Star Wars world with their "Tales of the Jedi" and "Knights of the Old Republic" series. Legacy is kind of simular, but it still does tie into the Star Wars main stories a lot.

But the real issue is that the Star Wars universe can't be altered, re-launched or changed. It is self-contained and it will always stay that way. But that's part of what makes Star Wars so special though.
