Validus, the strong member of the Fatal Five, was actually the child of Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. He was abducted by Darkseid as a baby, sent back in time, and transformed into the powerful super-villain. Edit
Pre-Zero Validus was incredibly strong, possibly on par with Trigon the Terrible, but incalculable none the less. He also had "brain blasts" which were strong enough to knock Superboy out. After Zero-Hour, Validus lost most of his powers, including most of his strength.
