Valiant comics just released a couple of teasers for their upcoming event UNITY. According to Valiant, there is a major announcement for this project coming very soon. For now, we have two images. One from artist JG Jones and the other from Clayton Crain.

Here we have X-O Manowar floating above Ninjak, Livewire, The Eternal Warrior, and Harada. If you've been reading X-O MANOWAR, then you know there's a conflict between Eternal Warrior (Gilad) and X-O Manowar (Aric) because Aric is trying to claim a piece of Europe as his own kingdom for he and the Visigoth people.

Harada and Aric battle it out! The line "to kill a king, he has created an army!" Will Aric have to take own the whole Valiant universe? Is it characters within the Valiant universe unifying to stop Aric? Valiant has been putting out nothing but non-stop awesomeness in their books, giving them the title "THE MUST-READ PUBLISHER OF 2013." Looks like they're closing out 2013 with a bang.

This is set to debut in November. What do you guys think of the upcoming event? What's going to happen?

This will be the first event from any publisher I'll be following in a long time.

I'm very excited for Unity. It will be very interesting to see how it unfolds over the next couple months. Valiant has yet to disappoint me with their relaunch. I am pulling everything except Archer and Armstrong.

Didn't they just finish Harbinger Wars? I thought they were different from the big two when it came to events, guess not....

@ekrolo: Harbinger Wars was a crossover between two books and it was also the only "event" they'v done since the whole comic line started

wasn't unity an old valiant event back in the 90's? Is this a remake?

@cap10nate: I try to keep my comic budget under $30 a month, so I'm only pulling Manowar now. I also set some aside for the Ninjak ongoing that was announced.

@lensnart: Not a remake no but they are using the name as a cool throwback

@xwraith: I ended up dropping most of my DC pull list in order to get the Valiant offerings. I haven't missed it at all. Harbinger is my favorite with X-O being a close second. Bloodshot and Shadowman are really good and entertaining as well.

dang..I havent had the cash to pick up the Valiant books, but this looks like it should be excellent.

But didn't they have a UNITY event during their run in the 90's any relation, or is this a updated take on that?

After the awesomeness that was Harbinger Wars, I have full faith in Valiant that they will be able to pull this off.

Conversely, I dropped all but 3 Marvel titles so that I could start picking up the Valiant books.

I'm only reading one from each (Green Arrow and X-Men).

In Marvel I'm down to just Uncanny X-men, Thunderbolts, and Scarlet Spider. I still buy way too many DC titles.

Wow, finally some love for Valiant titles. i have been reading since day 1. Yes, there is another option other than the Big 2. Although I read select Marvel and DC titles I'm loving Valiant.......but. valiant has too much infighting between major characters (heroes). What they need to do and I hope your reading Valiant... is introduce some new villains. A hero is only as great as the bad guy he's up against. Every Batman needs a joker, every Wolverine needs a Sabertooth and so on. The Universe will become stagnant if no new characters are introduced. And don't start killing off characters ala Marvel/DC. This looks amazing! Seems it IS an event. Glad X-O is involved with this one. They've been teasing "UNiTY" for a while though for those who didn't know or don't read Valiant.

If you're not yet reading Valiant you better get on board. Things are about to get crazy up in the Valiant Universe and you all are just plain missing out on great comics. Start with Harby Wars and X-O Manowar, that should give you a decent starting point. To those passing on valiant yet again: I pity you.

Also, think how brilliant and relevant this is? X-O seems to be persecuted, maybe even allied against by all walks of life for trying to take back a land that was once his people's. Sound familiar?

The more I look at Valiant comics the more I like it. I wish they had more exposure.

Ok I did it. Even though I've got a huge stack of unread trades at home I went and bought three different Valiant titles in trade. Guess I'm on the band wagon.
