Dark Horse has announced that they are teaming up with LA-based clothing label The Hundreds to create two extremely limited t-shirts.  The shirts will be in honor of Usagi Yojimbo's 25th Anniversary.  Creator Stan Sakai will be providing new art for the shirts.  The images will be released this coming Saturday.

How limited will these shirts be?  They will be produced in a limited run of only two hundred of each design!  The shirts will be available at the retail level this weekend at The Hundreds' Los Angeles and San Francisco locations.  Stan Sakai will be at the Rosewood location in LA from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to sign copies of the latest issue of the series.  Also, the first twenty-five people through the door will receive a signed copy of the first-eve full-color Usagi Yojimbo graphic novel, Yokai.

Usagi Yojimbo is the long running comic set in the 17th Century Japan.  Anthropomorphic animals take the place of humans.  The main character is the lovable rabbit, Miyamoto Usagi, who wanders the land as a shugyosha (student warrior on a pilgrimage) who sometimes sells his services as a yojimbo (bodyguard).

Now I need to figure out if I can make it to San Francisco this weekend to look for a shirt.

Just looking at the image. I was hoping for a Usagi Yojimbo parody of the Spartan 300 story. Only with a more Japanese flare and Usagi Yojimbo as the lead.

He got a spin off comics from the ninja turtles right? I don't really remember his origin.
