Since they can be superhero suites for Fantastic Four, can they also be used for others as well, like Avengers and X-men?

Many heroes costumes, X-Men notably are already stated to be made from unstable molecules (though I'm assuming Reed hasn't put third generation variant unstable molecules on the open market yet), though writers seem to dismiss this whenever (for example because readers like it when Wolverines costume rips or something).
