My question, why does everybody talk sh*t about patriotic American characters but no one ever complains about folks like Captain Britain, or Union Jack, or Guardian from Alpha Flight, or literally any other patriotic character from any other country?

To my understanding, Alex Ross's Vertigo imprint Uncle Sam is one of the most renowned reads every published, though

I've yet to acquire a copy to read myself (noted now though, this was probably Ross's best era next to his recent Dynamite revival)

Morrison did mention a Nazi controlled Earth in his Multiverse project. I would expect Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters to be the heroes there, if this is true. I would be thrilled to see them in the proper setting, not like the failed ongoing comic from last year.

The Uncle Sam character is awesome as is the rest of his misfit team, The Freedom Fighters.
