Dazzler is the worst spy ever

The comic's best moment involves Dazzler being recognized as a disco star by Fabio's family who the new agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. promptly knocks unconcious before kidnapping their son and leading Cyclops straight to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret detention facility. All in all, not a great first day on the job.

The humor of the book works well, although Dazzler shows how out of place she is working for a spy organization, especially when she picks a fight with Cyclops and his team rather than use her connections with the team to learn more about what they are after (which, you know, was her assignment). What's a little sad about this comic is any character could have been used as the patsy they make Dazzler who, other than the album cover joke, is largely wasted here.

One final note, I'd actually rate this a 3.5 instead of a 3. You can find more of my reviews (with images) on RazorFine Reviews

      Dazzler Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. 0

This has been an amazing series, which surprised me, as I was sceptical about it, not getting it at first. It has however amazed me, as although it's not always been consistent, it's always been good, and I look forward to seeing how it's developed leading to Battle of the Atom.PlotS.H.I.E.L.D.'s newest agent, Dazzler pays Fabio Medina and his family a visit, hoping to get information on Cyclops's location.ReviewThis was an outstanding issue, and the best from the last few issues. UNANNY X-MEN #009 Cyclops VS. Uncle Tom 0

COVER ART: 4/5 I love the solo image of Dazzler with her new S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform and toting an oversized automatic weapon, and her upper torso seemingly on fire or glowing from her mutant power, with a dark backdrop emblazoned with the S.H.I.E.L.D. crest. It is a simple yet effective image by CHRIS BACHALO and TIM TOWNSEND. The black background really makes Dazzler 'pop' in her white uniform. Overall, not too impressive like the Trinity War covers, but no real mistakes either.STORY ART: 4/5 I ...
