    The Good

     Magneto's request
     Magneto's request
This issue had a sort of calm, static, atmosphere. In my head, everything was completely silent. If it was a tv show episode, I can imagine that there would be no music or score accompanying it. Very Whedon-esque. It was also such a quick read, I had to read it twice straight away so I could fully absorb it, not that that's a bad thing, any longer and the pacing would of been well off. The art is also fantastic. You've never seen Billy Tan like this, it's a great new direction which not only has it's own style, but also fits perfectly into the style of the art of the other issues. Dean White's colour's are actually spectacular. Colourists are so often underrated or never even considered, but you gotta give credit where it's due.

Not to mention the excellent story which highlights some tragic realities for a Wolverine, making him face the inevitabilities of his life. This issue wasn't a super-hero book, dealing with fantastical issues and problems, but rather a more human one, highlighting the differences between right and wrong and the blurred line in-between.

    The Bad

     ...awkward

While the issue was amazing, I did have one or two nags. Mainly to do with the teams reaction to Magneto knowing. I feel like it wasn't made enough of an issue that he knew and it wasn't stressed enough how he found out or ensured that he wouldn't tell anyone. Also, Magneto saying 'Please...do this for me' to Wolverine of all people seemed a little out of character, though I do realize that Remender was trying to show a deeper connection between the two, I feel that the look he gave would of been enough to convey this, and may of been more powerful

As always, amazing issue, go buy, support this book, best X book in years!

Is it bad that nearly all of the reviews I have done for Uncanny X-Force have gotten close to a perfect score? The Good Do not underestimate the powers of Magneto. Not only is he the "Master of Magnetism," but he probably knows a hell of a lot of stuff you don't know he knows- that he isn't "supposed" to know- which makes this issue even more awesome. Magneto doesn't just casually appear on the cover of Uncanny X-Force #9 because in essence, this issue is all about him. Magneto knows, and has kn...

No Man Outrun his Past 0

I like the fact that Remender chose to tell two small self contained stories in a  roll, instead of throwing in another 3 to 4 issues arc story, before the Age of Apocalypse saga, this was a smart editorial move, building slowly the Dark Angel plot  (Marvel does it right at some times) - well, this was probably one of the best stories so far in this ongoing series, featuring a sad and numb Magneto asking for help to one of his oldest enemies: Wolverine - this issue was nothing that I was prepare...
