Not What I Expect, But Still Kicks Ass

    Uncanny X-Force #7
    Uncanny X-Force #7
When I saw this cover I assumed Wolverine and Deadpool would be left fighting Deathlok and thus solve all the issues they had in issue 5. Deadpool would earn Wolverine's respect and yadda yadda yadda. While that kind of happens this is the first cover of the series that kinda tricked me. All the covers so far have represented something that happened in the book. the Issue 5 cover has Fantomex being attacked by a bunch of Deathloks, that happens in that issue. The issue 6 cover has the team in Deathlok form, that happens in that issue. Wolverine and Deadpool don't fight Deathlok in this issue. So it was kinda misleading.

But damn Rick Remender did not disappoint. This whole arc has been any Fantomex or Deadpool fan's dream come true, cause they are the two characters we follow through this arc. This is Fantomex's story, but Deadpool also is the focus of this issue as well.

We also get some solid character development from Deadpool, and all those people who thought Deadpool was worthless to the team can eat their words now. He kind of showed the team that he's not just some smuck who cracks jokes a lot.

The artwork was really good, although I still kind of miss Opena, I get that there is going to be a new artist for every arc now which is fine by me. But hopefully they continue to hire good artist and don't make the mistake of trying to be artsey or whatever. Although one panel kinda threw me off, cause we see Deadpool's eyes through his mask....kinda weird.

The ending....WHOA!!! Who saw that coming? Rick Remender is doing a fantastic job writing a series that continues to be good but also leaves you wanting more after every issue. I won't spoil anything, but let's just saying..... I'm curious to see why Fantomex would do such a thing and that their little problem with En Sabah Nur, isn't quite done yet.

Overall, another great arc from Rick Remender, this series has proven to be one of the best (Easily in the top 5) X-men books out there right now. If you're not reading this series, then you must be screwy in the head cause this is a series you don't want to miss.

      Unreal! 0

Cover:   I'm just gonna say that the variety in colors is what makes these covers so freaking cool.  I don't think I will ever dislike an Uncanny X-Force cover.   The Good: The fighting is awesome; the action never stops.  The altercation between two of the X-Force members is also very cool, and what somewhat things left unanswered previous issues.  It does, however, lay another seed for possible story lines in the future, which is something Remender has been doing throughout this series,...

      Kill Father 0

Deathlok cyborgs have come from the future to secure the "World" and eliminate Fantomex. Fantomex, along with his group of murderous mutants plus Deadpool, must kill the man behind the Deathlok attacks, Father, or die trying. The Good Remender's X-Force has always been consistent with one thing, characterization. Remender always seems to manage developing the characters of everyone on this death-squad. That being said, Fantomex and Deadpool are written quite nicely in this issue. The verbal conf...
