    Kill the Future

    THE GOOD

This is a great issue! What I loved at the end of the last issue was not knowing which way the tide was going to turn. All we knew was that the original Deathlok was on the scene. This issue took me in a direction I was not expecting - which was exactly what I wanted.

I found it interesting that the Cyborg-Avengers and Cyborg-X-Force resemble characters possessed by the Carnage Symbiote. Now that would be an interesting future - Dealthlok Symbiote Characters... I am sure the US Military is working on it.

The battles were great, full of action and suspense. Psylocke's self-induced therapy session, at first felt out of place, but as it played out, really gave insight into her character and torment. The future-story extracted from one of the fallen Cyborg-Avengers was well done, informative and the results were heart-wrenching.

The issue ends with the perfect conviction for the next issue, and the conclusion of this arc.

    THE BAD

Would Fantomex really not recognize his own E.V.A? It just seems a little strange.

    THE VERDICT

Recommended. This is Chapter 2 of 3 for the Deathlok Nation arc, and it is a great addition to the story. It picks up right from last issue's cliffhanger, no waiting necessary. It is true the next steps for the team seem very well defined, I don't believe it will be a walk in the park - at least not a park in this world.

Esad Ribic is on cover and interior duites on this book, and like the last issue, he is just blowing me away. Ribic's got some amazing action-packed panels that goes so well with Remender's writing. Other great things about this issue are the pacing and the characterization of certain characters. The pacing is perfect...

Cover:   As I've mentioned in very many reviews, specifically for this series, the color choices, particularly in the logo and backdrops, continues to be one of my favorite aspects of the variety it presents to the covers.  If I lay them all out on a desk, they'd make for some awesome covers with astounding colors throughout.  Colors have varied more in this arc, however, so consistency is great.  The Good:  Where do I begin?  Last issue did not really do it for me.  It wasn't an altogether terr...
