Shaping Up For Another Great Arc

Rick Remender is doing a stellar job on this series. His writing is fantastic and this series is continuing to be one of the best series on the market right now. I'm not really familiar with Deathlok, but I look forward to reading the next couple of issues mainly because we're diving into some character development of the two characters on this team I like the most.

If you're a fan of Fantomex or Deadpool like I am, then you'll probably enjoy this arc because they are the main focus in this arc.

Fantomex is the focus because the army of Deathloks are after him. He's the target, so I expect him to shine a lot in this arc. He can't use his illusions on the Deathloks since they're Artificial Intelligent Beings and that puts him in a situation of weakness which is very interesting. As for Deadpool well he isn't his typical goofy self in this issue, he actually shows something we haven't seen in a Deadpool series for quite awhile.....character development. Deadpool didn't get to have his say about killing Apocalypse cause Wolverine paralyzed his mouth, well he get's to have his say in this issue and it's interesting cause we are shown he's not a heartless killer (Like many people think he is) and that he's not on the team just for the money and has his own reasons. Anyone who thinks this was out of character should go re-read Joe Kelly's stuff cause Deadpool IS NOT a heartless mercenary, he has a conscience.

I'm looking forward to see where this goes, and I really think that Deadpool is going to be the focus of the next couple of issues and really show them that he's not just some psycho mercenary who'd sell his own mother for a check, he's going to show Wolverine, Fantomex, Archangel, and Psylocke that he is a valuable addition to this team. What proof, well look at the cover to issue 7 of this series (shown at the side for your viewing pleasure).

Notice how it's only Deadpool and Wolverine fighting Deathlok, could this mean that they put their differences shown in this issue aside and actually earn some respect for each other?.......I guess we'll have to keep reading to find out.

Now for the artwork, well it's not as good as Jerome Opena but it's not bad. The art for this arc is from the cover artist Esad Ribic. I think a different colorist could have solved this issue cause it's hard to believe that the person drawing these awesome covers is only drawing interior artwork that is good but not great. It gets the job done, but I miss Jerome a little.

Overall Uncanny X-Force is thee book to be reading, it's action packed, it's got characters doing what we love to see them do, and now we have some interesting character development. I only wish that the guy who colored this issue complimented Esad's artwork as well as Dean White complimented Jerome's artwork in previous issues. Pick it up cause I got a feeling that this arc is going to be one hell of a ride.

After Last Issue, What Happens Next? 0

The latest X-Force team went on their first mission against Apocalypse with explosives results. What will the next arc bring us?  The Good I'm still trying to get over what happened last issue. With X-Force, you never know what's going to happen and Rick Remender makes sure to keep us on our toes. The title of the arc is Deathlok Nation, which immediately got me excited. We get a lot of focus on Fantomex, which is a good thing. He's an interesting character and his background as part of Weapon P...

      A terrible strain 0

After figuring my way through the first story arc with little-to-none of the background knowledge required to read this title in this issue it feels like being back to the beginning again.  This issue focuses mostly on Fantomex who is responsible for a miniature world which needs protecting (seemingly from itself.)  This aspect of the issue almost completely lost me, even upon re-reading it, it was not so clear.  The team meeting without Fantomex is a lot more clear, but doesn't advance the plot...
