    Expecting something else

I was expecting something else with this new launch, something more spectacular. But this story begins with a solid background and huge potential for the comming monthly serie, the recently added characters give depth and add a better pace. But seriously I was expecting something else...

    The Good

Great art, as we seen in Uncanny X-Force with more visceral action and more humans forms, it gives a dark mature tone worthy of AOA. They kept very cool old characters as Jean and Sabretooth.

Magneto and Rogue´s deads were unexpected but necessary, now the X-Men are not stick with old Xavier´s dead dream weigth, and now its about survive.

    The Bad

The annoying Black Legion returns (I really think they are not that good to be Weapon X henchmen), they reappears killing a bunch of humans but get defeated easily by Phoenix .... so nahhh. This issue was quiet unrealistic because the last human city had flying cars and motorbikes with shinny wheels .... what happened with the Apocalypse and the years of delay in science since the Holocaust.

    Veredict

As I said i was expecting something else but it was a good beginning with new characters adding credibility to the storyline. It would be nice to see how the entire team was killed not only out of panel. So I give to this issue 4/5.

Unfortunately, all it really does is show that there is nothing left of the once popular alternate reality worth revisiting. To this day, Age of Apocalypse is one of my favorite X-Men stories. It was a story and a universe I have always wished could have been expanded on just a little more. There were so many more facets I would have liked seeing explored or more char...

      Very Interesting 0

I am fairly to reading comics on a monthly basis. Using Christmas money I bought the available hardcover of of Uncanny X-Force to catch up. This is my first single issue (as well as #19) of the series. Before reading through this issue I was not very familiar with the whole Age of Apocalypse dimension. I knew that things were radically different in the dimension. As a result I was surprised to see Magneto leading the X-Men as well as a yellow hulk and the combination Ghost Rider/Iron Man. With t...
