The Story: X-Force prepares to enter the Age of Apocalypse with Dark Beast. Logan thinks about all the dead and worries about Warren (who isn't seen once all issue). When they enter AoA, they notice that things have changed. They reach Dark Beast's lab, all the while being tracked by Sabretooth and Wild Child. Dark Beast gets the Life Seed (that was easy), and AoA Nightcrawler bamfs i and steals it. Logan stops Dark Beast killing him and freaks out a little that he's seeing Nightcrawler (though not really the same one). Nightcrawler recognizes that Logan isn't the same AoA Wolverine (who's dead), and, thinking that this Wolvie is a clone working for Dark Beast, escapes w the Life Seed. They go after him and are attacked by Sabretooth, Wild Child, and Sunfire. In the ensuing battle, the Life Seed was destroyed (okay, not so easy). Dark Beast leaves them stranded in AoA with a cryptic warning (double-crosses them). The two teams of X-Men talk things over and they all go back to AoA X-Men's hideout under the sea where they meet AoA Jean and Magneto (who looks really dumb with braids btw).
The Good: I love the art and I want them to stick with it forever. It looks so goooood. It's pretty cool seeing Logan see all these people who he thought were dead and how he reacts to the different version of them. Story and writing are good as usual. I missed a half-mark on this one for god knows what reason, I just wasn't super into it, but I could say that absolutely nothing went wrong.
The Bad: Rien.
The Verdict: Get it, obviously, there's nothing wrong here, and promises an interesting start to an intriguing story ark.
