First off I need to say that I haven't been following these series because the first few issues were really boring to me but I decided to try it out again and I was pleasantly surprised by this issue and also the amazing cover.I just love how the artwork is really digital and also cartoony at the same time.
The team isn't my type of thing because all of the characters are practically a mixed bag for me but I like the dynamic between them.Psylocke is the one that I like the most and Bishop as well. The issue was focused mainly around him and I loved that. The threat they will be facing doesn't look like a thing I actually care about but this issue was good enough for me to enjoy.
The artwork was something that I would have liked more but it was enough for me.The style was cartoony and I thought that it wasn't realy appropriate for the dark tone that the story was setting us up for.It wasn't bad but I think that this kind of artwork is for books like Deadpool or just from that comedian type.
The issue had some good acting that was interesting to follow but there were things that just looked too strange or too easily happening.Like when the Revenants appeared it felt strange that they got in into X-Force;s headquarters so easily and they came in the right moment when the team was talking about them.Or the moment when Psylocke's body was taken over,it looked like for me like it was happening too easily.I mean Betsy has faced really strong telepaths and creatures that look way more powerful than the Revenants but in this issue her body was taken over as easily as Storm and Puck's bodies.
The issue wasn't bad but had some small problem that were actually pretty big problems for me and didn't let me enjoy the book enough.I really want to see what's coming next because it seems like Bushop is in some big trouble and there will be a lot of action going on.
