    Unnecessary Avengers

Is this the end of this story arc? Because if it is, the ending of the actual story was kind of weak. The hint of things from the future was interesting. But not interesting enough for me to continue.

Uncanny Avengers was the kick off book for Marvel Now. Everything that happened in AVX lead to this book. It was going to change the Marvel Universe. That is until the next event. Hey Ultron!

That didn't happen. You can blame John Cassaday for taking to long to finish the art, but it takes two to tango, and Rick Rememder is not on his 'A' game here.

That's not to say it's a bad book, but it is just middle of the road. Especially since most of the Marvel Now books have surpassed this in quality.

Red Skull has taken possession of Thor and is trying to hypnotize Captain America into joining him. To take America away from "the fat rednecks" (as Red Skull puts it) and bring back wholesome American values.

Red Skull would be the perfect Fox News anchor!

The heroes are able to break the mental bond, in a way that was out of nowhere, leading to the "final" showdown.

There were some parts I liked. I liked the reference to Days of Future Past, and I like how the Red Skull is always one step ahead of everyone.

While this story arc needed to end, it was rushed.

Since this is the end of this story arc, I think I'm done with this book. Again this isn't a bad read, but it very middle of the road. It is not worth $4 an issue. If the next story arc is as big as they are kind of hyping it, I'm sure it will spill over into other books.

You could do worse, but you could also do a lot better.

I've recently decided to go back and review the issues in this series that I haven't reviewed, having re-read them, but my reviews will be written as if I've not read the issues that follow them. This series has been very interesting so far, and although it was a bit bumpy quality wise, as well as the scheduling being all over the place, it's starting to pick up, and become a very entertaining story. Rick Remender has done a brilliant job of brining the Avengers Unity Squad together, and it's the...

      The Dream 0

So it's kinda the conclusion to the the first arc of Rick Remender's run on the new team of Uncanny Avengers. They are battling the Red Skull for the first time as a team and things aren't looking quite well for them. After he implanted Professor X's mind in his own head he became an unstopable force and the Avengers are up against a task like newver before. The issue was moving in a slow pace like the rest of the issues and things like in last issues felt a lot not in the right way and a little bi...
