    Kill The Mutants

This book took a while to come out. Was it worth the wait? Meh....

Thank goodness for recaps, or I would need to dig into some boxes to remember everything that happened. Red Skull has Professor X's mental powers. He has Rouge and Scarlett Witch under his mind control. He has an army of animal people things. He is converting innocent citizens into the new Third Reich, and attacking every and all mutants. Can the nightmare be stopped?

While Red Skull is doing his thing The Uncanny Avengers show up to help out. Led by Havok, the team consists of Captain America, Wolverine, Thor, and well eventually Rouge and Scarlett Witch. Chaos ensues!

A couple of things. Most people are saying why is Captain America taking orders from Havok? I think I might know why. I think he is testing Havok out. When he feels that Havok is ready, he is going to leave this team and be done with it. Since he is there to help out, innocents should be ok. This is one big training exercise. It kind of comes to a boil at one point with an almost brainwashed Captain America getting aggravated with Havok.

The ending is interesting enough, and one of Red Skull's animal people has a power they shouldn't have. They do something to Wolverine, that is kind of far fetched.

This book was hyped to be the poster child of Marvel Now. It's not a bad book. It should be $2.99. I honestly like the art. The problem is, it seems to be lacking direction. Who is this team going to consist of? They need to get a concrete roster and stick with it. The Red Skull with his new powers is good enough villain.

I think eventually it is going to be a bunch of "B" listers. Also when this book came out, there wasn't a ton of new Avengers books announced. But now it seems an unnecessary book for Avengers fans and X-Men fans.

I say that this summer will be the true test for this book, if they get a solid roster, and who is on it. I'm still liking it enough to read until the end of the story arc, but I'm going to stop getting the monthly issues when this arc wraps up.

I've recently decided to go back and review the issues in this series that I haven't reviewed, having re-read them, but my reviews will be written as if I've not read the issues that follow them. This has been a very interesting series so far, and although it's not quite hit it's stride, it is still a very interesting story. The return of the Red Skull as well as the coming together of this team containing both Avengers and X-Men has been very interesting, and although the last issue was a little...

It was totally worth the wait for this issue, Clone Red Skull has landed in american soil and he's got superior plans to it's people. The highlights of this arc story are the ability of Rick Remender to recycle old ideas, turning them into interesting concepts once again, for instance the "mutants are big threats again" - before AvX events, since mutant kind were almost extinct and now there's a rekindle of them, it's an interesting take to writers explore humanity's fear of them once more. Spea...
