It's true, and it's sad. However, knowing the reason why his writing sucks doesn't make the actual writing any better. Jeph, take some time off, come back in a couple of years. Or, just retire. You've earned it. But please. Don't drag the rest of us, and our beloved characters, down with you into your little "My world sucks, so will everyone else's" rut, here.

That's sick. If you have no concept of empathy, grief, loss or just getting on with your life then don't say rubbish like that.
Ultimate Marvel was designed to part you with your money. Retelling the origins of popular heroes is hardly original, and then afterwards it just spirals off into pointless stories that could have been told in the regular Marvel continuity. Accept that not enough people were conned into buying it for the rest of their lives. That it deserves to be cancelled. And that it was more likely an editorial/management decision. Don't blame the writer's personal life & losses for it.
