Now that the X-Men are famed as the heroes behind killing Magneto and saving the world, Weapon X has turned it's sights on them.
We open up with Nightcrawler trying to escape from the Canadian underground orgainzation, but he gets gunned down. We then follow Wolverine to Arizona tries to catch up with his past. Meanwhile the X-Men are on "promotional tours" with every entertainment venue that will talk to him, leading to Rouge, a Weapon X agent at this point, compromising their mansion and eventually the capture of the X-Men, including the professor. Once captured, our heroes are forced to do mission for Weapon X, while the reader is opened up to a world of changes to some of the classic X-Men characters.
Nightcrawler, Juggernaught, Sabretooth and Rouge are all forced agents of Weapon X.
Once Wolverine is captured, he is treated to all of the documents from his old life being burned in front of him. Ironically the leftover members of Magneto's Brotherhood are the ones who end up saving the X-men. It's fairly entertaining, you should totally pick up the volume for that and the action sequences that sprawl the entire volume. In the end, Professor X confides in Jean Grey, telling her that Magneto is still alive.
Art still done by Kubert, not in love with it, but Millar writes a good story, so I look past it.
