Totally not worth the wait 0

I kept putting this off, because I hate the direction Jeph Loeb took things with the Ultimate mutants. The Ultimate universe as a whole got raked over the coals by Loeb, but that is another issue entirely. (Issue - see what I did there?) Story I don’t mind this style of introducing characters, spotlighting them in each issue. That’s great, it really helps to establish the person. However, the accompanying exposition text free-floating over the action felt off, as if I was following two separat...

Wow! What a wait... 0

Who knew there would be a 7 month gap between issues 3 and 4 of this series? Well, I certainly didn't. Was it worth the wait? Well, kind of. A neat story and great, great Adams art (that was the hold-up I think, while he and his wife looked after their baby) make for a neat comic. The series is starting to take shape - I think it's too bad that there had to be such a dreadful setup story as Ultimatum to give us this new world order, but there you are. But Jeph Loeb is taking the opportunity now ...
