Ultimate Universe Forum

What makes the ULTIMATE universe significantly different? If you were to describe the main universe against the ultimate universe.

I thought I read somewhere that it was geared towards more mature audiences?

Are the plots and story arcs more involved? Can your average reader distinguish characters between the main universe and the ultimate universe?

What makes the Ultimate universe a must read? It seems that it would splinter the readership rather than bring NEW readers in.

Tell me more.

To me its just one big, "What If"

What if the Scarlet Witch and her brother had a creepy relationship.

What if Gambit was killed by the Juggernaut

What if Captain America was more then Peak Human

What if the Hulk had never been green.

I'm sure fans of the Ultimate Universe could tell you the exact differences. But I've never really got the purpose.

True, but since Earth-616 is referred to as the main reality all others must be alternate realities.

If i'm not forgetting anything Marvel currently publishes ongoing stories in five separate realities + Exiles.

Ah, yes. I forgot about Marvel Adventures. The others are:

• Earth-555 (newuniversal)

• Earth-5631 (Power Pack)

• Earth-982 (MC2)

And also the upcoming GeNext series, which takes place in the X-Men: The End reality.

It's kind of funny when Joe Q says that there are only two marvel universes: Regular and Ultimate.

Power Pack is set in Earth-5631 (ref: All-New Ohotmu A to Z 10)

Marvel adventures is set in Earth-20051. (numbered in some issue of Marvel Adventures: Fantastic Four)

In one of the Deadpool comics he went to the Marvel office and wanted the writer to tell him where Taskmaster was. I know he can break the 4th wall, but, if our universe is part of their multiverse, how is that breaking the 4th wall?"

Marvel has an office in Earth-616 too, he probably went to that one. I know others has been there to discuss their own comics like Nova for example.

I don't know how it works with him breaking the fourth wall, but i suspect that if you would ask marvel about it they would just say it's because of his insanity.

i'm pretty sure GeNext isn't taking place in the X-men: the end's reality, GeNext is supposed to be a reality where the marvel universe aged in real time, focusing on the x-men, i think it'll have it's own new reality
