    This is where it really takes off 0

    The first story arc of Ultimate Spiderman was interesting but not very impressive. Brian Michael Bendis did a good job of working the origin of Peter Parker and Spiderman into a modern (or 10 years after, at least more modern) setting. But the story didn't really change anything in the phenomenon that is Spiderman. Nor did it bring in any extraordinary amounts of new energy to the stories it retold.  The start of the second arc, Learning Curve is quite impressive though. Bendis tells the story o...
