What's great about this volume is that Bendis brings together most of the street level superheroes together. Daredevil has gathered Spider-Man along with Moon Knight, Iron Fist, Shang Chi, and Moon Knight all together to take down the Kingpin. Everyone of these characters has something against him, and almost everyone of them wants him dead.

Peter has grown up a bit since he encountered both Kingpin and Daredevil. He has dealt with Kingpin many times, and currently, his record with him is not so good. As much as he hates Kingpin, Peter knows killing him isn't the right way. In the end, when it finally feels like a win out of Kingpin, it's also a defeat with the other heroes as well.

The other side plot revolves around Kitty Pryde enrolling in Peter's school and Peter breaking up with her...or Kitty breaking up with him, causing tension between the two. Along with that comes with the idea of racism with mutants, a topic that hasn't been talked about lately. The last story is a story that was building up for a while: The talk between Peter and Aunt May.

A big change in Ultimate Spider-Man is the artist. Sadly, Mark Bagley ends his run in this volume with 111 issues. Taking over for him in most of the last story is Stuart Immonen. Even by the brief pages, Immonen's art style is quite different from Bagley's.   That's not to say that it's not bad, there's just not enough to give a real opinion.

The only negative thing about this volume is the last story. There is a HUGE amount of dialogue with Peter explaining Aunt May about being Spider-Man. Also, there's another story during their conversation that makes things awkward. It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't so much dialogue, but knowing Bendis, it's almost like a real life conversation. And as I said before, there's not enough artwork to really weigh on Immonen's artwork (I'll touch on that with the next volume).

Overall: Ultimate Knights is one of the better stories featuring Kingpin. It was great seeing other heroes besides The Ultimates.
