It seems that the tablet the the Black Cat stole last issue was destined for the hands of the Kingpin. With the television report linking the Black Cat and Spider-Man to the robbery, and with Spider-Man's past history with the Kingpin, it's clear that trouble lurks in Spidey's immediate future. 
The Black Cat reaches out to Spider-Man via a personal ad in the Daily Bugle. Given the personal problems that Peter is dealing with, how could he resist another encounter with such an intriguing individual. The only problem is that he's not the only one to take note of the personal ad. Enter the Kingpin's hired assassin, Elektra!
