Peter is on top of the world

    Cover

I love the art for the cover but the people on the cover were pretty random since none of them were in the issue at all

    Story

Peter loses his job and gets a call from JJ Jameson. Jameson says he wants to do a favor for Peter for saving his life. Peter makes an agreement and Peter gets a job at the Daily Bugle and Jameson will help pay for Peter’s college. As Peter swings home Peter sees Kitty and takes her home with him for dinner and Peter forgets that it is his birthday and his family and friends celebrate. MJ is there and gives a present from Iron Man and it is new Web shooters. Then Peter and MJ kiss.

    Best Part

I loved that we finally saw the aftermath of Jameson knowing about Peter being Spider-man. It actually worked in his benefit. Then having Kitty back in the series is really great because she is one of my favorite characters and the reason I actually started reading Ultimate Spider-man. Something that happened in this issue though that I wish will happen in Amazing Spider-man is MJ and Peter being back together. Even her saying tiger was great. Everything about that scene was great. Everything about this issue was great. Peter is finally on top of the world.

    Worst Part

    There was no worst part.

    Art

The recent Ultimate Spider-man art I have hated for a long time and always said I really can’t wait until they change the artist.  Then in this issue they change the artist and I was so happy. The art was great and we finally have a MJ that looks like MJ and not a geek. Because her character was never meant to look like a geek and I am glad that in this issue they got the correct.

    Pick it up or not

After getting fired, Spidey prepares himself for an even scarier prospect - - a one-on-one meeting with J. Jonah Jameson.  The Good The "partnership" that Jameson and Peter get into here is such a sensible idea, I'm baffled as to why it's never come up once in all the decades of the regular title. Peter's dogged - - even irrational - - insistence on personal responsibility during their dialog goes much farther to express his nobility than any number of pose-downs on skyscrapers would. And it's ...

Ultimate Comics has been hyping this "Death of Spider-Man" event for at least the past 4 months.  In the apparent prelude to the arc we again find Spider-Man doing regular Spider-Man things.  There is literally no hint of impending doom except for the Spider-Man mask at the bottom of the last page.  I'm all for hyping events but this has nothing to do with anything.  With that in mind, however the issue is very strong as we see a key event in the life of Spider-Man and the return of a player we ...
