Shock, Awe and One More Death 2

I'll be honest, I really wasn't sure if the next chapter in life of Ultimate Peter Parker was going to be on my reading list.  I was wrong. Dead wrong.  This issue is exactly what I, as an Ultimate Spider-Man fan, have been waiting for. I really don't want to give away the two big reveals, happening at the 3/4 mark and the last two pages, but it's setting this series to live up to it's quota, bring us Spider-Man stories we'd get no where else.  Without hitting anything important I'll try to glaz...

    MJ With Glasses. 1

Big $#!+ is gonna go down, the first page gives you a synopsis of the first series, then an EPIC Fall from grace, on par with Reed Richards (All Versions). This new series takes place six months after the Ultimatum Wave, on the day New York has finished rebuilding, and life has somewhat returned to normal, and Spidey is getting some respect. There is a "possibly" new hero in town, hardcore, and "hanky panky" with you know who. The Djurdjevic cover tells like the last 4-5 pages, and maybe someone...

Did i die and go to comic heaven? 1

As we know (unless you were smart enough to NOT buy Ultimatum.) the Ultimate universe is starting over, with Ultimate Spiderman being one the first to start up again I thought i'd write this review.   The first page is basically Peter giving his little round-up of Ultimatum.  Then he is revealed to be working at a burger joint called "Frog Burgers", and while taking some old lady's order gets into some some pretty hillarious trouble.  Next is the usual catch-up page if you missed an issue. After...

    New Beginnig,New Villains,Old Hero 1

When I first heard that David LaFuente is going to pencil the new adventures of a 'new' Spider-Manl,the first thing it came to my mind was "Gimme' a break',but now I tottaly love his style.I see now why Bendis was so excited to work with after Ultimate Spider-Man Annual # 3.I was really pissed of when I heard that the newly Ultimate (Comics) Spider-Man will feature a new webhead in town so I decided to buy issue # 133 and the two Requiem editions and ASTA LA VISTA BABY.Suddently ,my friend knock...

They should have never rebooted this... 0

This issue is intresting and extraordinary (how do you like me now... using big words like that)  NO seriously... Bendis, my respects for the man because he knows how to write a good story. This issue is 6 months after Ultimatum (Yes it's finally over!!!!) and yet I feel that this could easily have been ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN Issue No. 136.... I say 136 instead of 134 because the Requiems could have been 134 and 135.....   The story is great, I mean Peter is not dead so the world is right again. No...

All New, All Amazing, All Ultimate Spider-Man 0

After Ultimatum, I was shocked to see that Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-man had died in an explosion in downtown New York. Ultimate Spider-man was my first comic book and to see the events taken place in the ultimate universe shook me up inside. Fortunetly, that wasn't the end of the Ultimate Spider-man storyline. The story takes place months after Ultimatum. New York has been restored to it's former glory and the Amazing Spider-man's reputation has been boosted thank to J.J.J.'s article on the ma...

Same As The Old Boss 0

(Great reviews so far!) The first Spider-Man comic I read was Amazing Spider-Man #147. It was in one of those old-school three-packs at the grocery store. There was an issue of Incredible Hulk with the character Glorian; and either an issue of Captain America or Iron Man as the third wheel. You can probably tell which of the three caught my attention. I can tell you just about everything about that first issue I got of Spider-Man, a little about the Hulk issue, nothing at all about the third com...

Interesting and a hopeful start 0

The story opens with an interesting situation in New York and there is Peter working in a regular burger place. It is very nice to see a very common situation that we see very often. There is a mysterious character's appearance in this issue who seems to punish bad guys. Gwen Stacy is part of Spidey's life and she seem to know all his secrets. There are very simple but a lot number of events tossed in together. This issue on the whole is interesting and we see a villain's beginning. 3.5 stars as...
