THE Comic Vine Review by Tony 'G-Man' Guerrero
Now that Miles is officially Spider-Man, what's the next step in his superhero career? He still has a lot to learn along the way as Brian Bendis and Chris Samnee are helping to guide him along the way. |
The world finds out about the new Spider-Man! Plus, The Scorpion comes to New York!

Ultimate Comics Spider Man #7 Review |
|
On this issue, we see Miles Morales practicing more to be a better Spider-Man than Peter Parker was and now he's beginning to feel the same problems Peter had while he was alive: a skeptical public (with Parker dead), the suit beginning to stink ( reminding himself to get mouthwash) and enemies who think that Parker is really alive and not dead. But now new problems are arising for young Miles and things will get difficult pretty soon. Mean while his uncle, The Prowler escapes from Mexico and finds the Tinkerer and demands to make him like the new Spider Man. He soon figures out who Spider Man may be and this will bring future problems for Miles. We also see that he means business and doesn't take failure well.
The High Points:
Brian Michael Bendis is at his best with Miles, from his expanding role as a super hero to his wise cracking (similar to Parker) and how the story is developing. Miles is getting wiser and wiser on being a super hero and you really see his interaction with Omega Red as he's beginning to master his powers ( Old and new ones)
The Low Point:
I truly miss Sara Pichelli's art and drawing. Chris Samnee is not bad but sometimes Miles looks a little too old for his age and then back again. But I hope he gets better at his job or more hope to bring back Sara as the main drawer.
Final Verdict:
Overall this is a fine issue and a prelude to the next conflict he will have to endure: his uncle the Prowler. Must have and highly recommended.

The Shocker Wasn't Available? |
|
I am loving this wild ride of the new Ultimate Spider-man. This issue finally sees Miles getting into the role of superhero on his own. Of course, who could Bendis and company throw at him for his first on-the-street-match?
Omega Red?! I always thought his appearances with Peter were sad. He is not much better than The Shocker, who harassed Peter like a bad toe fungus. The fight is quick, and shows Miles quickly adapting into his new powers. He spends a lot of this issue trying to figure them out, but is able to use his camouflage, sting power, strength, and agility to quickly put Omega Red down.
Also, with his uncle quickly coming into play as the Norman Osborn of Miles' world, we are going to be treated to a great book for some time.
As a previous poster said, Sara Pichelli's art is sadly missed, but Bendis delivers once again. Another must read, and a great issue to start the series with if you aren't reading it already.

La amenaza Rusa vs Spiderman |
|

Miles is learning to become Spider-man slowly |

This is my video review for Ultimate Spider-man issue 7. In this issue Miles is still learning to be Spider-man and runs into Red Omega.

This kid got skills. |
|
Synopsis: Miles starts to learn about his abilities while his uncle makes his return from Mexico.
First, I have to say how I like how Miles is taking his responsibilities as Spider-Man seriously. He knows that he's inexperienced and any resources he can get (like a video copy of Spider-Man fighting Doc Ock) is helpful. He just needs to practice when his parents are not around, otherwise he'll get the reaction his mother gave him in the beginning (come on Mrs. Morales, he's a growing boy). It's pretty cool that Miles is holding his own without webs. I don't know if he'll get web shooters or organic web in the future, but he's making use of his other abilities.
Meanwhile, Miles' Uncle seems to have plans for his nephew. While I think it will be crime related interests, his actions in this issue does seem like he cares for his nephew.
Chris Samnee improved his quality in the art by a lot, but it can be better. I still miss Sara Pichelli, however, Samnee's work in this issue is less cartoony and more focused, especially when Miles is in costume and fighting.
Another great issue of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man.

Ultimate Spider-Man #7 |
|
My first review ever on Comic Vine so I hope it is good, and provides information that you seek. In this Comic, it picks up with Miles studying footage of Spider-Man fighting Doctor Octopus, as he is seeing it he recreates it in his room. I do not know why but this part I enjoyed, showing that he needs practice and wondering if he is ready to be a hero. Miles is still in a conflict with his father about mutants in the city, but you do learn that Mile's mother agrees with the mutants. Miles is paired off against a villain, and you see good, funny dialogue, such as Peter would have said.
Bendis' writing is amazing, artwork is good, amazing storytelling. Great read, making you want to read the next issue. I recommend that to anyone looking for a good story, and some good humor.
Thank you for your time,
The Fish.
