    The Sinister... Five?

It's kind of funny to see the similarity between this series and the Superior Foes series so many years after I've read this one... ie there are five villains instead of six on this team. And, while I hated the Superior Foes immensely, this is a relic of my childhood that I really enjoy, even today. This is a set-up issue, yes, but it's not what I would call standard. You really get to know all the villains here well, even if you haven't read any of the Ultimate Spiderman stuff up until this point (which I hadn't), and quickly draws you in to learn what makes these very different and complex figures tick. It's fun, exciting, it looks great, has some fantastic dialogue, and is just all around a good time. If you never read this, pick this up sometime.
