So rumors have been circulating for a while that with Cataclysm the Ultimate Universe would be getting destroyed or ending. I don't think that's the case. Today Ultimate Comics Spider-man #28 was released and while I won't give out any spoilers I will say that there are future plot points set up in this issue. Why would Bendis set up these plot points if they were ending the Ultimate Universe or moving Miles to the 616? I think that Miles will go to the 616 Universe and as the solicits point out he'll be going there for information on how to defeat Galactus...I think that he'll return to the 1610 Universe just as things are looking their worse....actually now while I'm typing this out another thought came to me....what if someone from the 616 Universe goes back with Miles to help them defeat Galactus?

@danhimself: Just. No reason in particular. Actually, because it doesn't seem to garner any interest for MetH. It also seems to be tHe least popular Ultimate series. MetH can be wrong but MetH Has totally forgotten about tHe Ultimates. MetH believed tHe series ended a wHile ago.

EitHer way, Ultimate Comics only Has 3 series. WHo knows wHy Marvel would want to get rid of tHem (if tHey are).

AnotHer rumor is tHat tHe 1610 verse will get a reboot from Cataclysm.

Maybe Cataclysm is only Here to raise awareness of tHe Ultimate Verse in case anyone forgot it still exists.

well the big bad for the last arc was Susan Storm dressed as Kang from the future who it turns out has been manipulating Reed since Ultimatum into becoming a supervillain so that he could make the Earth produce the Infinity gems so that they would have a fighting chance against Galactus in Cataclysm

Hopefully we get new characters as good as Miles. Like a new founding X-Men team that starts from scratch with the original concept, but with new heroes. Or a new set of interesting Ultimates. Just don't make the new characters weird for the sake of it, Marvel. Kick it old school with a modern twist--like Miles.

Urgh, the UU should just die already. How many times have Marvel tried to reboot it in the past five years? This must be at least the third time by now.
