Ultimate Iron Man "versus" Hulk.Riiiiiight.The two characters exchange a couple of blows.Ultimate Iron Man "and" Hulk is more like it.Or Hulk featuring Iron Man.Iron Man appears about twice in the four-issue limited series, which is not enough.Whereas Hulk gets to plough his way through hordes of puny humans,Iron Man punches Hulk twice and hits Leader. So definitely Ultimate Hulk featuring Iron Man.
Leader, alias Peter Wisdom, desires to create superhumans from the blood of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. What he doesn't count on is Tony and Bruce are actually unstoppable juggernauts in disguise as weedy nerds.
Warren Ellis' excellent writing makes the series readable.Cary Nord's art is pretty cool as well.Hulk's stupidity and guillability are extremely amusing,as is Tony Stark's drunkeness. But there's too much Tony and too little of everyone's favourite metal man.
A basic verdict:good comic,but a misleading title.
