    Ultimate Fallout continues.

Synopsis: Captain America, Thor, and Rouge deal with Peter's death in their own way.

    What's Good?
Not only is Ultimate Fallout is dealing with the Death of Spider-Man, this is also dealing with the rest of the Ultimate Universe as well. This issue splits into three stories: Captain America, Thor, and Rouge. Captain America's story takes place where the previous issue left off with him confronting Aunt May. A confrontation with Aunt May and Steve Rogers was something needed to be addressed early. Aunt May said some things readers could relate to about Peter (I mean, The Ultimates were supposed to train him, but Peter was doing fine on his own in his own way). Readers can even relate to what she did afterward as well.

Rouge's story was interesting in its own way as well. Yes, she wasn't close to Spider-Man, but she feels that his passing is some kind of sign. Considering that mutants are being hunted, I do wonder what kind of role she'll have when Ultimate Comics: X-Men starts.

Three artists joins the fray. Out of the three, I enjoyed Gabriel Hardman's artwork the most on Captain America, because it goes along with the aftermath of The Death of Spider-Man. Aunt May's panels when talking to Steve were powerful. She was somewhat content to going to the funeral in the previous issue, but when Steve went to talk to her, the emotions you wanted to see from the start comes out. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the other two artist, on the contrary, I like Bryan Hitch's artwork with Thor's story, and I liked Lee Garbett's artwork with Rouge.

    What's Bad?
Thor's story I didn't really care for a whole lot about. It's mostly because Thor's background in this universe is still vague. It's his perspective on life after death, and I find it awkward seeing deceased characters like Cyclops, Wasp and even Peter in Valhalla. The only important thing I noticed was the panel with Hela. Make no mistake, I trust Jonathan Hickman. I think he'll do a great job with The New Ultimates.

Overall: Other than Thor's story, this issue wasn't bad. I got impatient and saw the preview for the next issue, and it appears to be focusing on Tony Stark, Kitty Pryde, Jean Grey (Karen Grant), and Hulk. I'm going on a hunch that half of the next issue will be concerning the future Ultimate Comics: X-Men series.

      Pointless and poorly perceived 0

After Ultimate Marvel's "Death of Spider-Man" I felt that they had to address the impact that such an iconic character's death would have on his loved one's and the universe. "Ultimate Fallout" #1 was a needed introspection but also an emotionally satisfying issue. Unfortunately issue #2 doesn't have near the heart or interest as the first book and comes across as totally unnecessary.  The issue is basically broken down into three segments that focus on Captain America, Thor, and Rogue. Intensity With A Slight Digression 0

As predicted, Ultimate Fallout has shifted from pure Spider-Man mode to accommodate the other series that are about to start up in the Reborn lineup. The Spider-Crew still takes center stage, but we get stories from Thor and Rogue, comprising 3/4 of the new books (only Hawkeye is missing). Bendis wrote the Spidey stuff, Hickman wrote Thor, and Spencer Rogue. This is the first time we've got all three from the Reborn relaunch all writing together in unison and I hope this collaboration continues ...
