Ultimate Comics Ultimates #11 Review
The seeds are being planted for the "Divided We Fall" event in the Ultimate Marvel Universe as we see the Ultimates on the losing side of the conflict, we see desperate measures taken and things keep falling apart for the US Government and SHIELD under Director Flumm.
The High Points:
Jonathan Hickman along Sam Humphries are establishing the seeds of Divided We Fall event here. We see the welcoming return of Ultimate Carol Danvers. Receiving a call from Tony for an appointment with the President. However things as they are, it comes with strings attached. Meanwhile we see the state of Texas seceding from the Union. The catch: they have managed to capture all the main bases of SHIELD in that state. The president waste no time in burning Flumm a new one after hearing that one. It's clear that Flumm and SHIELD are out against all odds and for each victory they have, they loose a whole lot more. Luke Ross and Matt Milla are doing a fine job in drawing and coloring this issue. Those two are in their game completely doing an excellent job.
The Low Points:
We still haven't heard what happens to Fury (AWOL in this issue) and there are a couple of unsolved issues left here that felt cut at the editing table but lets hope for the better.
Final Verdict:
Things are getting more interesting by the issue and this event of "Divided We Fall" is going to be BIG. Looks at what Hickman had done in 12 issues and that's without a big event. Can't wait.
