Mayhem is just Mayhem

   I had high hopes for new comer Tyrese Gibson bloody and gory entrance to the comic book world A.K.A Mayhem. But it failed to live up to the shoot em ' up genre it was striving so hard to innovate. It seemed way to generic and failed to convey any sort of character development or plot line. At times I really liked the mindless action, but at other times in seemed to be mindless for mindless sake. It might be one of those books where you have to judge it after its completion versus issue by issue.

    Summary and scans can be seen here  The Good Well crafted story, I was surprised by it actually since the script was top notch. We got enough background on the hero to want to read more , we got a bit on his motivations and even something to look forward to with Big X's daughter being the one working with mayhem. Does she want to take over his empire by killing him or is she really fed up with his criminal lifestyle? only time will tell.   The art and ...
