I feel like this concept has been been misused and screwed up from how I initially intended it. I initially created this concept to apply to "canonical" continuations only. I believe there is a fundamental difference between a continuation (involving talent from the original show) vs. the Star Wars-style expanded universe. I think most of the series linked to this concept are actually tie-ins and not continuations.
