The leader of the Autobots in their war against the Decepticons, Optimus Prime is a noble robot that believes freedom is the right of all sentient beings. He has fallen many times over the course of his different incarnations, but always returns in the Autobots' darkest hour. He truly believes that true peace may never occur until "All Are One". He has had several alternate modes throughout his many different incarnations, but is most renowned for his earliest transformation into a semi-truck.
Former Decepticon turned Autobot who appeared in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He is good friends with Wheelie.
Jolt is a Chevy Volt added to the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen film at the last minute. While getting little screen time he did make several appearances in the Comics.
The main human protagonist of the Transformers film
One of the few female Autobots, though rarely a damsel in distress. Arcee is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and one of the best sharpshooters on record.
Small but tough Autobot that has an affinity for interacting with humans. He is one of the most well known Autobots and in most incarnations is Optimus Prime's right hand man. The latest incarnations of this character has had a inability too speak and having to rely between hand signs and/or radio channels to make whole sentences.
Shockwave is the Decepticons' military operations commander.
The second-in-command of the Decepticons. He seeks to rule, but is held back by his cowardice. Nevertheless, his ruthless efficiency, stealth, and speed on the battlefield make him a valuable ally. However, he is the complete opposite of fellow Decepticon Soundwave because of the fact that he is not truly loyal to Megatron and is one of the Decepticons Megatron truly doesn't trust. Yet even with all the treachery he always finds himself somewhat in Megatron's favor.
The Autobot's medic. Ratchet is usually one of the older Autobots and has wisdom to match his age. He is a skilled medic and scientist when needed. Along with Bumblebee he is one of Optimus Prime's most loyal and closest comrades. He is often asked to join the front lines when the Autobots are low on fire power. He may be a medic but when called on in battle he is one of the most fierce.
Megatron is leader of the Evil Decepticons. His motto is "Peace Through Tyranny". In almost everyway Megatron is the exact opposite of Optimus Prime. He is brutal, relentless, and the very definition of Destruction. Megatron has earned the respects of his fellow Decepticons simply because of his brute power and overall undeniable leadership. The most interesting part of most incarnations of Megatron is that he truly believes that he is the good guy and that alone makes him even more terrifying.
The 'mad scientist' and chief inventor for the heroic Autobots. Transforms into a Lancia Stratos Turbo (Generation 1) or a Ford Mustang (Alternators).
Autobot under the command of Elita One
Elita One, commander of the female Autobots on Cybertron, is the female counterpart of Optimus Prime.
Wheelie is a heroic Autobot that has some serious courage. Wheelie will take on almost anyone that wants to fight, that includes Megatron.
Sideswipe is an Autobot warrior and the twin brother of Sunstreaker.
The Autobot military strategist and one of Optimus Prime's most trusted officers. He might seem gruff and aggressive, but he is kind at heart.
Mirage is a sneaky Autobot capable of making himself invisible to sneak behind Decepticon lines and transforms into an indy car.
Autobot Micromaster and member of the Air Patrol. Blaze Master is merciless to all Decepticons, and loves nothing more than raining his napalm-like corrosive spray down on them from above. His alt mode is a helicopter.
Frenzy's more stable, brother with a tough guy attitude. Small but tough and always looking for a fight.
The triple changer and Decepticon, Astrotrain can convert from Robot to Train or Space Shuttle. Astrotrain's primary function is to act as Military transport for the Decepticons.
Fearswoop is a Decepticon soldier from the Transformers series He's somewhat of an obscure character in G1 but appears more frequently in the movie series
A Decepticon and leads the "Race Car Patrol Team"
Decepticon Pretender and skillful warrior. Bludgeon prefers to use his blade during combat.
Ravage is one of Soundwave's cassette tape minions and one of Megatron's most loyal warriors.
A scientist before joining the war, Skids helped the Autobots by analyzing Earth's way of life in order to be better adapt to the planet.
The right-hand man of Megatron. Master of intelligence gathering thanks to cold personality and his mini cons. Megatron has stated many times that Soundwave is one of the few Decepticons he trust completely and the other Decepticons hate him for it. He is known to transform into some sort of radio device but when he does turn into a vehicle it is either a jet or truck. Soundwave's voice is one of the most iconic in the franchise because it can only be done with the assistance of a vocoder.
Ratbat is one of several tape transformers Soundwave keeps in himself and ejects when needed.
One of Soundwave's cassettes.
