Regal, powerful, and cold, Byakuya Kuchiki is the adoptive brother of Rukia Kuchiki and the Sixth Division Captain in the Soul Reaper's Gotei 13. Byakuya is a strong man of his word. His zanpakuto is called Senbonzakura and he is the most famous of the 13 captains. He is also the 28th head of the Kuchiki clan which is the noblest of all of soul society. His lieutenant in the sixth division is Renji Abarai. He is the grandson of Ginrei Kuchiki, the former captain of the sixth division.

He and Kyouraku studied under Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto and were the first to become captains after graduating from the Soul Reaper Academy.
Kensei Mugurama is a Vizard and former 9th Division Captain of the Gotei 13. His zanpakuto is called Tachikaze.
Kisuke Urahara is a very upbeat man who runs a shop named after himself. Most people don't know that Kisuke is a former Soul Reaper Captain banished from the Soul Society. He was the former captain of the twelfth division of the Gotei 13. His zanpakuto is called Benihime. He is well known for his intellect and skills. He's also a member of the 5 Special war Potentials.
Marechiyo Omaeda is the lieutenant of the 2nd Division under Captain Soifon. His zanpakuto is called Gegetsuburi.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi is the captain of the 12th Division in the Gotei 13 and the second president of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute. His zanpakuto is called Ashisogi Jizou. Mayuri is a mad scientist. His Bankai is called Konjiki Ashisogi Jizou.
Toshiro was Hinamori's childhood friend who she grew up with, he is like a little brother to her and she often calls him by a pet-name, much to his frustration.
Orihime has Spirit powers in the series. She is also often made out to be kind of dense and usually serves as comedy relief when not fighting.
Rangiku Matsumoto is the Lieutenant of the Soul Society's 13 Squads tenth division working with Hitsugaya Toshiro and previously with Isshin Kurosaki. Her Zanpakuto is called: Haineko and it's abilities envelops it's target in ashes. She has a special relationship with Gin Ichimaru, the former captain of the Soul Society's Third Division of the 13 Divisions. She also inspired Hitsugaya into becoming a Soul Reaper to help protect his loved ones. She is drinking buddies with Shunsui Kyoraku.
Renji Abarai is the lieutenant for the 6th division's Byakuya Kuchiki. Renji is also close friends with Rukia Kuchiki. Renji is very brash and tends to annoy and be annoyed by Ichigo Kurosaki.
Retsu Unohana known formerly as Yachiru Unohana and The First Kenpachi and Former Captain of the 11th Division Squad was the Captain of the Soul Society's 4th division Squad. She is one of the oldest and one of the most skilled Shinigami in Soul Society. Her Lieutenant is Kotetsu Isane. Her zanpakuto is called Minazuki.
Rukia has only a working relationship with Toshiro, but as a captain respects his strength.

Uryu Ishida is a human with high level spiritual powers called a Quincy. Uryu has a deep hatred for the Soul Reapers and fights using bow and arrow style spirit manifestation.
Yachiru is the 11th division Lieutenant under Kenpachi Zaraki. She is playful and childish.
Chad is a human with ememse spirit strength. He is usually kind of quite and is actually serves as the calm voice in the group. Chad is also very self sacrificing because he knows he is much stronger.
Yoruichi Shihōin is the former Captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei 13 as well as the Commander of the Onmitsukidō. She abandoned her position to aid her friends Kisuke and Urahara, based in the Urahara Shop out in the Human World. She was Soifon's teacher. Her Lieutenant was Marenoshin Ōmaeda.
Yumichika is a Shinigami: a soul reaper with high spirit powers. He is the fifth seat of the eleventh division of the gotei 13. His zanpakuto is called Ruri'iro Kujaku. He is Ikkaku's partner.
