The Torpedo Armor was worn by the original two Torpedo's, Michael Stivak and Brock Jones. Both died while wearing the suit. Stivak had created the suit for national defense but used it fighting the Dire Wraiths an extraterritorial aliens bent on controlling the Earth. The armor would later be discovered by high school students Michael Jeffries and his girlfriend Michiko Musashi (Turbo). Realizing that the suit grants the wearer the powers of flight, energy disruption, and air blasts Jeffries quickly tried to learn to use its abilities. However, it was Michiko who would master the armor and became the superhero named Turbo. Jeffries would also later be killed being the third wearer of the armor who had been killed.

The Torpedo Armor is a sophisticated battle suit designed to fly at supersonic speeds due to the wrist and ankle jets, harness turbine airflow at incredibly high speeds to cause concussive windblasts, updrafts currents, generate shockwaves, and a powerful punch. The suit is powered by a miniature nuclear energy battery. The headdress also allowed advanced vision, high speed internet, navigation, tele-communications, limited life-support, and sound enhancement as well as soundproof when required.
