    Disappointing

I get that Joe Kubert is trying to do a stone age spear-and-sorcery type thing. I'm willing to be awful forgiving in the mix of creatures from widely different geological eras, the existence of magic and whatnot. But this series finally breaks from even it's own internal rules with this issue. Creatures that Tor fights in the beginning of the issue - and that have existed for eons under the Earth - suddenly burst through the ground and make their appearance on the surface, just in time to get Tor out of a jam - for no explicable reason. Seriously, don't try to think about or make much sense of this comic. It exists solely to let Kubert show off his Frank Frazetta side. Nothing more. With only two issues left, can this serie redeem itself?
