Tintin is a heroic reporter whose investigations frequently lead him into adventures and peril. His full name and his family and origin have never been revealed in comics or the series of Tintin books. He is mostly assumed to be Belgian, but even that is never explicitly stated.
Tintin's adventures were first published in Le Petit Vingtième (a weekly supplement for kids in the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siecle) on January 10th 1929. The series of comic strips was created by the Belgian artist, Hergé.
Tintin is just a normal guy living in Belgium and working as a journalist together with his dog Snowy. He often finds himself in dangerous situations, but with a little detective work he always manages to find his way out. He always has a neutral outlook on life, he never lets his emotions get the better of him and he's a pretty everyday kind of guy.
