    Some facts about Tijuana Bibles:

Most were made of cheap paper and were about 2 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide and had a colored cardboard front and back cover with 8 pages of black and white comics inside; finally, they were stapled together on the far left side. Most of the authors and publishers weren't known. The characters featured in them would engage in explicit sex acts, and a fair number had a humorous tone to them. The quality of the pictures and writing of them varied widely

They rarely, if ever, got permission to use the famous characters and people featured in them. Some characters/ people like Mae West and the Fuller Brush Man made repeated appearances in them.

Some of the Tijuana Bibles floating around are actually reprints of the original, and it would take an expert to figure them out.

They just about disappeared when publications like Playboy became available
