Wow. Can this be done and be accepted by the fans?

Thundercats Returns on Cartoon Network
Last time I saw this was back in the early 2000s, when Cartoon Network here still aired old shows like Scooby-Doo, Spider-Man and Thundercats. I really miss the shows Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network used to air, today almost all the cartoons are crap.
Anyhoo, that's frickin' awesome. They should bring in more of these old cartoons back.
*Chuckles*
That's a good thing/bad thing. Luckily my daughter is too young to really care how bad this might be. So maybe I'll watch. :)
Now I've learned that very few of my old Saturday Morning cartoons can stand the test of time. One of the only ones I can recall seeing as an adult and not go "What the hell was I thinking?" was Exo Squad. That was a good show and still is. Good, not great. :)
I wasn't born when Thundercats originally aired, but I watched it on Boomerang whenever it came on. This sounds good. I hope they strip what made me watch it in the first place.
I have all of Thundercats on DVD and OMFG THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BIGGEST NEWS EVENT SINCE BLACKEST NIGHT!!!!! Maybe Cartoon Network is trying to get back to the days of Toonami. I remember growing up on Thundercats. People you have no idea how stoked I am hearing this. Thank you Comic Vine for posting this.
I'm old enough to have watched it when CN ran it on Toonami.
THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It was a pretty awesome show, idk how they're going to top the original theme song though. And Mummra's transformation has to be just right.......
Either way, exciting news. I had all but stopped watching CN, but with this and young justice maybe the channel can be redeemed.
Oh heck yeah man - I actually thought it was a little better than the original series sometimes.
" Wow I would love to take a look at this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Yeah and just think how Mumm-Ra's new transformation will look.
Reading the topic title I was pretty excited I loved the Thundercats as a little kid, along with all the 80s cartoon greats. But then when I saw it would be animated by the people that did Halo Legends, the Batman and Animatrix... I won't be watching its to stylized for my tastes I am just not a fan of anima style artwork.
it was my favorite show back when I was a kid
I had every toy, everything and anything Thundercats!
I'm totally stoked for this
I just hope they don't drop the ball
here's hoping for cool new characters
Cartoon Network is going to make a comeback. This. A new green Lantern show. Young Justice. What's next!?
:)
It's about time!
And it's "Thunder! Thunder! THUNDER! THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOO!" 3 Thunders before Thundercats.
how can anyone NOT know the Thundercats' battle cry????
it is still resonating in my brani 25 years later
.....so is that theme song, come to think of it......
@LazarusFL:
he was rather effeminate, but I still think he was straight
Tygra always seemed gay to me, but maybe it was the costume
unless you meant he was dumb, or lame
in which case, please use a different word
there are gay comicbook fans too, genius
" Cartoon Network is going to make a comeback. This. A new green Lantern show. Young Justice. What's next!? :) "Don't forget Batman:The Bave and the Bold, Star Wars:The Clone Wars, Ben 10:Ultimate Alien and Generator Rex. Maybe the next show will be the JSA.
yeah, I have to say I haven't watched cartoon network in years
but I'll come back for the Thundercats!!!
oh yeah
well i hope they dont use the old music lyrics like thundercats are loose thunder thunder. seems kinda weird when you hear the music now. i hope they make good stories in the series.
As a kid, I was always a Thundercats fan. But as I grew up I realized that all the cartoons were basically the same, with the exceptions of special episodes like the introduction of the New Thundercats. But for the most part I felt they were exactly the same, Lion-O would get into trouble, get his butt kicked call on the other Thundercats and save the day within the last 3 minutes of the cartoon. Now with this news some comicviners are saying that with this new rendition that the creators better not drop the ball. Trust me, as much as I enjoyed the Thundercats in the 80's the bar wasn't really set all that high.
