My theory about cheetara's change in character

After watching and re-watching the episodes, I've come to the conclusion that Mumm-Ra is controlling Cheetara.

Think about it. Before Lion-O and Tygra go into the astral plane, Cheetara is constantly giving Lion-O signals, to the point that EVERYBODY thinks she likes him. Then Mumm-ra tries to get them to kill each other by preying on sibling rivalry. And once they return, Cheetara (The girl they've been fighting over this whole time) chooses Tygra despite all her signs.

In the next episode, she is perfectly okay with letting the lizards that defected from Mumm-Ra's army get punished and then drops her staff in the middle of a fight, completely dismissing all her training to protect the crown. Then you have two Character backstory episodes, and then in comes Pumyra right when Lion-O is vulnerable.

And finally, The sword of Plundar is sealed by Jaga's magic and everybody that tries to take it dies, EXCEPT Cheetara who just happens to volunteer to get the sword then Pumyra just happens to let it fall into Mumm-Ra's hands after being "trapped".

Yeah, no. Pumyra was the only double agent and with the series for all intents and purposes cancelled it doesn't make a difference.

Then Mumm-ra tries to get them to kill each other by preying on sibling rivalry. And once they return, Cheetara (The girl they've been fighting over this whole time) chooses Tygra despite all her signs.

It was explained in the second half of the first season why she "gave him signals" was because she was supposed to keep an eye on him, which she did. No one else believed in Lion-O except her. And albeit her methods giving off signals, it made sense even though it was sloppily explained because she cared for Tygra all those years but just didn't follow through with them. And the brothers had a friendly rivalry about it until Tygra got jealous when she did start kissing him and Lion-O was getting cocky about everything. Mumm-Ra had nothing to do with that. What he did have to do with was using the Astral Plane to mess with their heads hence when Tygra beat Lion-O he was going to leave but Lion-O made him remember the last time that happened when Lion-O fell in the hole. So the only real point you MAY have is that she does have something to do with the Astral Plane with exploiting the Brother's rivalry and Tygra's anger, but that is it. She didn't manipulate them intentionally and it could EASILY be assumed that what Tygra meant by Lion-O "taking her" was in reference to their mother which makes sense since Tygra felt like everything was taken from him despite being the better of the two in everything they have done.

In the next episode, she is perfectly okay with letting the lizards that defected from Mumm-Ra's army get punished and then drops her staff in the middle of a fight, completely dismissing all her training to protect the crown. You're putting this way out of context. She dropped her staff because Kaynar had Tygra beaten and wrapped up and was threatening to kill him. She loved him and has for awhile. It apparently outweighed her training in that scenario. It had nothing to do with Mumm-Ra's influence.

And finally, The sword of Plundar is sealed by Jaga's magic and everybody that tries to take it dies, EXCEPT Cheetara who just happens to volunteer to get the sword then Pumyra just happens to let it fall into Mumm-Ra's hands after being "trapped".

Because Cheetara was a trained Cleric for 1 and Mumm-Ra forced the sword into his hands when threatening Pumyra's life whom Lion-O cared for while Pumyra was a double agent the entire time...

I have to agree with god_spawn. Though it was certainly an interesting concept to consider.
