    The Thunderbolts went through many evolutions: Baron Zemo's plan for world domination, a superhero team comprised of super-villains seeking redemption, Norman Osborn's personal hit squad, a government-sponsored prison reform project, and more. What they had in common was a roster that was always made of supervillains and anti-heroes willing to cross the lines other heroic teams wouldn't.

    The Thunderbolts have gone against many forms of the Avengers, but has there been any fights recorded with the X-Men?

    I like the idea of a bunch of "pacifists" like the X-Men being tussled with a "black ops mercenary" core like the Thunderbolts on their morale about human relations and integrative concepts. X-Men believe in integration, Thunderbolts believe in power plays and personal agendas-neither side relates to the other.

    These would be the combatants:

    Professor X vs. Centurius, Cyclops vs. Fixer, Jean Grey vs. Mathemanic, Emma Frost vs. Venom, Gambit vs. Joystick, Wolverine vs. Bullseye, Jubilee vs. Jolt, Colossus vs. Atlas, Shadowcat vs. Moonstone, Siryn vs. Songbird, Storm vs. Plant Man. Just for scale example, Wolverine vs. Mad Dog? Thoughts?
