Archie vs the Punisher was more plausible

I only started reading this series because of the shift of two characters that I find interesting in the Marvel U. One being the 'Flash Thompson' Venom and the more mythical based Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze). The series after the generally basic shift started somewhat rocky and never really got its footing. From really over-the-top plots to just plain moronic endeavors that was highlighted by the actions/words/puns of Deadpool (fantastic selling point btw - that is cashing in on a character that should have never ascended past the C-list of in the marvel strata, who is in the spot light because, in part, to Ryan Reynolds.

When I started reading this arc I already knew, based on title alone (The Punisher vs. Whatever) that it was going to be a struggle to read. Marvel gave up on this title as soon as they made the motif of having all characters on the team have red in their costumes even though two never indulged in this fashion trend (Punisher and Venom). So basically the reboot (whichever number marvel's on now) known as Marvel now.

Last issue the art art was decent enough, but even then they changed it in this issue which added to the over-the-top cartoonism of this plot. The last issue featured a handful of shoty events that probably won't effect anything relevant in the Marvel U (Ghost Rider loosing his power, AND in a fight with the flame retardant Punisher etc.). But this issue just was filler with Elektra and the love interest between the two since the start of this entire debacle of a comic. This although I have to admit was more realistic than the last dealing with two people that "don't have powers" (despite the fact that they both have died and come back to life).

When marvel finishes this run, it will be a welcome improvement and help my compulsion with collecting stories that I've started. The I won't go bankrupt from this bile.
