@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: Avengers of Smash.

@ReVamp: @Necrotic_Lycanthrope: i don't get it , is the jeff parker hulk comic book going to get a relaunch or the cartoon itself

#4 Posted by Teerack (7065 posts) - - Show Bio

Pretty sure hulk and the agents of smash was confirmed as a cartoon.

@Teerack: He means the Jeff Parker Hulk series with Thunderbolt Ross in will be relaunched to feature the Hulk family to coincide with the Agents of Smash cartoon. It's only a rumour so far.

And currently I am really hating Marvel for their animation plans. Ultimate Spider-Man is rubbish, Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes was utterly brilliant and does not deserve to be replaced by another show set in the same continuity as Ultimate Spider-Man meaning it could share in the same childish, lame tone of the series and apparently Agents of Smash is just going to be mindless action with few plot points and developed storylines. Why Marvel, why?!!!!

Did they canceled rulk's book just so they can renumber it and change the title?

lol

@Z3RO180: <-------------- Hear, o people, the voice of reason...too many Hulks indeed.

#11 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@TheAcidSkull:

The book will be exactly the same as before, just with a new title. Same writer and everything.

#12 Posted by TheAcidSkull (18032 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: so the cartoon is not getting a relaunch, darn it

#13 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@TheAcidSkull:

:(

Tis a sad day for us all.

#14 Posted by TheAcidSkull (18032 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: it's still gonna be like Ultimate spider-man huh?, all i want is a normal cartoon with banners struggle and the incarnations of hulk

#15 Posted by TDK_1997 (14985 posts) - - Show Bio

It will suck all the way.

#16 Posted by The_Tree (7727 posts) - - Show Bio

I hate this new name, it sounds very childish.

Brevoort acknowledged this when I "asked" about it...

Q: Hulk: Avengers of SMASH is the worst thing I've ever heard.
A: Hey, give us time, I'm sure we're announcing something else tomorrow.
#18 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@TheAcidSkull:

I hope to gosh no. So far the rumor is that it'll be the same as the regular Red Hulk series, but now with Hulk and the Agents of SMASH as its title.

Oh lawdy....

#20 Posted by _Zombie_ (10455 posts) - - Show Bio

Alright then. Looks stupid, so I'm gonna pass on it.

#21 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@ZombieBigfoot:

I'll stick by it since it's still Jeff. But if it goes downhill I'll be making a complaint on the review threads about it. :P

#22 Posted by _Zombie_ (10455 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: I've just got better stuff to read. An Agents of SMASH title just doesn't sound appealing enough to replace something else.

#23 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@ZombieBigfoot:

Eh, fair enough. In any case, Vertigo, Image and avatar press have been having success lately with their stuff. Maybe you can look into those (if you haven't already that is :P)

#24 Posted by _Zombie_ (10455 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: I know of Vertigo and Avatar. I mostly stick to a couple Marvel and DC titles at the moment.

#25 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@ZombieBigfoot:

DC's doing a better job than Marvel, but they've been screwing up some characters and their relationships. Ironically, most of the issues I get weekly are DC. (even though I'm pro-Marvel.)

#26 Posted by _Zombie_ (10455 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: I agree. At this point, I'm not really either, company loyalty is kinda lost on me.

#27 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@ZombieBigfoot:

Too true. I'm loyal to titles, not companies anymore.

#28 Edited by _Zombie_ (10455 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: Pretty much the same here. Loyal to a few writers too

#29 Posted by Flopsop200 (171 posts) - - Show Bio

Could be good. Its always nice to have a supporting cast and Jeff Parker is solid.

#30 Posted by Necrotic_Lycanthrope (2388 posts) - - Show Bio

@Flopsop200 So far in Rulk's comics he's been teaming up with a lot of lesser based characters in Marvel. So a more permanent team would be cool, although I do hope Annie and machine man are still on board with him as teammates.

#31 Posted by X35 (5981 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: nah, the first arc will be

RULK AND HAWKEYE

and then

RULK AND CAPTAIN AMERICA

and then

RULK AND IRON MAN

and then the book will be cancelled...

@X35:

D:

Avenging Hulk now?

#33 Posted by X35 (5981 posts) - - Show Bio

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: Well it is Hulk and the Avengers of Smash. ¬_¬

@X35:

*insert Darth Vader scream here*
